Five Essential Podcasts from Successful Women Business Owners

Being an entrepreneur often means being a solopreneur at some stage of your business, and that can come with a little loneliness. As a small business owner, you wear all the hats – marketer, salesperson, administrator – and that also means that sometimes you’re making decisions in a silo. Hearing other people’s stories of success and failure can help you feel less alone and more confident, and podcasts are an excellent source for inspiration and ideas.

In honor of National Women's History Month, here are five podcasts from successful and inspiring female business founders. These incredible women share their own and other entrepreneurs’ stories about starting and growing their businesses, the challenges and opportunities they face, and the importance of female-led companies.

  1. "The Goal Digger Podcast"

A Forbes top-rated marketing podcast with 85 million downloads, The Goal Digger Podcast is hosted by a self-professed “small town mama turned entrepreneur” Jenna Kutcher. Kutcher famously started her first successful business when she bought a $300 camera on Craigslist to become a wedding photographer. Since then, Jenna has become a seven-figure entrepreneur, educator, podcaster, and a New York Times bestselling author.

The podcast features topics ranging from digital marketing to entrepreneurship to motherhood. Interviews include the notable motivational speaker and author Mel Robbins, #1 New York Times bestselling author of “Atomic Habits,” James Clear, and former Wall Street Vice President of Communications and Change Management Emily Sexton.

  1. "Girlboss Radio"

Originally founded by Sophia Amoruso, Girlboss Radio brings female entrepreneurs, side hustlers, and founders together for in-depth conversations that help women achieve success on their own terms. In late 2022, Amoruso passed the mic to Avery Francis, a veteran human resources professional and thought leader specializing in instilling diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace through her consultancy, Bloom. Francis’ motto: Work should work for everyone.

This season, tune in to interviews with Georgina Gooley, the cofounder of Billie; Kelly Burton, the CEO of Black Innovation Alliance; and Oscar-winning filmmaker Domee Shi.
